Hi, I recently tore my meniscus and I was wondering if anyone has done, and had for this operation. Can you tell me how he broke it and how long you wait before the surgery? In addition, it was what the outcome of your surgery, what were the symptoms do not improve or disappear?

Thanks in advance!

Hello. they havent run ... However ... I hurt my knee in June, despite two MRI showing no damage was to my hard drive (I have a partial tear my MCL), the doctor now recommends my knee area to see whether MRI missed tears because I still have pain on the medial knee, especially when squatting or bending my knee past 100 degrees with the weight on the leg ... Even when I was in the interior of a sharp, stabbing pain in my knee ...

From now on, I feel as I do, and I'll try to wait until the competition season has an end in late April ... but the pain is not better, and I fear that the longer you wait, the worse it will eventually be

Fortunately wiith ur knee and Recovery --

Hey. I am 13 years old and recently had keyhole surgery to repair my torn meniscus. I stopped, because I have a very active player in basketball all the twists and turns Clock (). I had pain for about 2 years, but only later discovered crack. I did not) for a period of time (school holidays, to wait because the doctor said he had been so long and hardly had a chance to heal itself. The surgery went well (if you would do that, I get a lumbar puncture, as a general anesthetic, because he was sick after that). Could I walk without crutches for 3 weeks and it has been assumed to play sports (high impact, such as basketball, soccer, rock climbing and rafting, etc.) 3 months later. I had a little pain afterwards, but only because my muscles were not used to traffic, but it was pretty fast. I'm still pretty lazy and not as active as they though before the operation.

I broke my meniscus 4 times and had 3 operations. They put my meniscus and I was really after them, but I'm an aggressive player and sports injury, I further. If it is broken enough, a lot of pain, I really recommend that, to solve them. Just make sure that after the surgery to go, to do physical therapy, and all the exercises that require you to do. That is my opinion that the main back on the field after injuring himself. 03/29/07 My last surgery was my 2 in April 2004 and my first of August 2002. The operation was so good the 3 times, and it was for me, almost no pain after stations.

I have twice had surgery. Not bad. The longer you wait, the more pain cause unessacerily. Managed as quickly as possible. And if arthroscopic Biggie is not at all. :-) The first time was the awakening of anastesia cool because I do not care what about me. The second time I woke up and not abrubtly and was very scared. Expireince each is different. For example, in the right knee, had his knee for about 2 weeks after surgery, weak, and I was very dependent on my crutches and rail. The second time I went out with a knee immobilizer on the day of operation immediately after the game. Only different. The worst was the PT!

I tore my meniscus surgery in '04 was at 3 months (I do not know how) the idea of surgery, there was simply no problem. I had 3 / 4 of his resignation. still appears from time to time, but I am cycling at least 3 times a week and play basketball with my three children. I will not lie, yes, the pain sometimes, but some Advil and maybe a little ice so bad Help. no time to wait before it, the longer you wait, the worse the damage will be fixed) (and pain.
